Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards opens 2017 Nominations Roadshow at Huddersfield Town

St. James’s Place Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards has launched our annual Roadshow aimed at boosting nominations for children and young adults to be recognised for their bravery, courage and overall achievements at the annual awards dinner this October.

Attending pitch side at Huddersfield Town with the Nominations Box was Lucas Town, who was the team mascot last season and also the winner of the YCCA young sporting award in 2016. Lucas does not let his cerebral palsy condition stand in his way – he plays football and tennis and lives life to the full!

He was joined by leading Architectural Practice, Huddersfield based YCCA sponsor France & Associates. Commenting on the firm’s inaugural sponsorship of the annual event Jonathan France said: “We are a first time sponsor at YCCA and see the event as a perfect opportunity to create awareness of the achievements of some of the region’s finest young people. I am looking forward to the Nominations Roadshow as well as to the dinner in October.”

Jess Lees, corporate fundraiser from Forget Me Not Child was representing the Children’s Hospice, also Huddersfield based. This amazing organisation was the recent recipient of a large grant from St. James’s Place Foundation.

Minnie Mouse joined the party too from Flying Zebra who have over 25 mascots on their books for children’s parties and other events and will be supporting the Nominations Roadshow Tour this year.

Remember you can nominate here on the website until Midnight on 11th August.

Thanks everybody!
