Olympic Medallist Nile Wilson to present an Award at Yorkshire Children of Courage 2017

We are very excited indeed to announce that Nile Wilson, Leeds born and bred Gymnast will be at our October Dinner to present an Award to a lucky winner.

We can hardly believe this as Nile is such a high profile, high achiever and at the age of 21 is an Olympic Bronze Medallist competing in the GB Gymnastics senior team.

Nile became the first British gymnast to ever win an Olympic Bronze medal in the Horizontal Bar, which he achieved at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Not only that but he has been breaking records for some time – in 2014, he became the first British gymnast to ever win 5 Gold Medals at the European Junior Gymnastics Championships. In the same year he won 4 medals, including 2 Gold, at Commonwealth Games. He has also won a Silver medal as part of the GB team at the 2015 World Gymnastics Championships. This was the first world men’s medal in British gymnastics history.

Nile goes to the World Championships in September in Montreal – we wish him every success and look forward to welcoming him to Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards!!
