Megan Rodd, Winner of Young Fundraiser 2013 continues her fundraising!

Megan Rodd, who won our Young Fundraiser Award in 2013 continues to fundraise for a variety of good causes.

At our recent launch party we introduced her to one of our Main Sponsors, Dom & Geri, and they volunteered to sponsor her latest venture, a 65 mile walk from Headingley Stadium to the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington.

This is a message we have received from her Mum, Michelle:

“We’ve just completed day two and already on the Manchester border.

We left Headingley yesterday and managed to get 15 miles covered and over to Halifax.
Today, we started off in Halifax, over the moors into Oldham and then walked down the A62 towards Manchester city centre. Kayden who is Megan’s little brother and just five years old, and has a disability, joined us for three miles and he will cover off 10 miles over the four days. Megan is already over half way to Warrington and has covered 30.1 miles in two days.
As you know I had messed up with the school holidays, so every morning she’s going to school early for extra teaching and then leaving at 1pm to start again and tonight we didn’t get home until 10:15pm.
Megan’s pulled a muscle but apart from limping this didn’t really bother her! She will have it strapped and the aim is another 15 miles tomorrow!”
