Charlotte Williams is the Leeds Children’s Mayor!

charlotte-williams

We were very pleased to welcome last year’s Children’s Mayor, Oliver Larking to the 2013 Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards. And we are delighted to hear that Charlotte Williams, who has taken over the role from Oliver, will be lending her support to our event.

The honour of being Leeds Children’s Mayor is hotly contested every year and around 12 pupils from some of the area’s primary schools are shortlisted for the position and have to make a presentation underlining why they feel they would be good at the job!

Charlotte attends Rufford Park Primary School and lives in Yeadon. She is a keen horse rider and really enjoys having riding lessons every Saturday. She also likes anything crafty and really enjoys making things with her dad. However her mum doesn’t enjoy the cleaning up afterwards!! Charlotte is a Jessie J and Take That fan and when she is not out and about enjoying herself she dedicates herself to her role and her civic duties.

We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to the Awards on 10th December!
